Album Description

I've been waiting anxiously for this cd, and am so glad it's finally here. Glee is so unique in that the musical numbers are half of the reason you watch the show, and they're fantastic.
Half of the fun of listening to the cd is picturing the scenes from each song in your head! Listening to 'Jump', I see them all bouncing around on those huge mattresses, and it makes me laugh. For 'Endless Love' I hear Mr Schu's thoughts of how crazy Rachel is. It's hilarious as well as being fantastic music. But the music holds up on its own, and is a great mix of songs sung by a very talented cast.
My only disappointment and complaint is that 'Imagine' is not the true version from the show, with the deaf choir. That performance and song was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and heard, and it made me cry. I think it is a disservice to just have the regular Glee cast version on the cd, even though it's a beautiful version.
I could have done without 'Having my Baby', as it's a horrible sappy song, and I've always hated it. It was ok in the context of the show, but I wish it wasn't on the cd.
For those that complain that not every song is on the cd, there's already 17 songs on the cd. If they included every song each volume would be a double cd set. I just download the extra songs that I like.

This soundtrack is SO MUCH FUN! Whether you watch the show or not (I watch it and love it!), the music on this CD will be a blast to listen to. It's a great mix of old and new songs and the cast of Glee is so talented that it will make you want to sing along. I have volume 1 and volume 2 and have listened to both everyday since I got them! Highly recommend!
